Winter Conditioning Open

Register for Winter Conditioning

Registration for the Cupertino Little League Winter
2021 Conditioning program is open!

Go to www.cupertinolittleleague.org and select "Register". Registration for the Winter Conditioning Program is open until February 14, 2021.

This program meets all of the current guidelines set forth by the state, county and city guiding youth team sports under the current COVID-19 Purple Tier in Santa Clara County. This program is open to all players from the Farm to Junior’s divisions. Guidelines from the state and county can be found here.

State Guidance: Outdoor and Indoor Youth and Recreational Adult Sports

County Guidance: Mandatory Directive for Youth and Adult Recreational Athletic Activities

The format will be similar to CLL’s Fall Ball 2020, teams will be established as cohorts with a stable group of players and coaches who will practice 2-3 times per week (weather permitting) during late February and early March. Coaches and players will wear face coverings at all times and remain 6 feet apart. There will be no shared equipment, outside of the baseballs. There will be no games or any activity that intermingles with another team/cohort. Players and coaches may only participate in one ‘cohort’ or team for the duration of the conditioning program (These are all subject to change based on updated guidance from the state, county or city health authorities).

Registration will close on February 14 so that the league can form teams with the goal of all teams being in place and practices to start on or soon after February 20th. Due to requirements to keep the teams stable, the league may not be able to take on new players once team formation begins.

Looking forward to the Spring, the league continues to plan to hold a traditional Spring 2021 Little League season with games and other normal Little League activities for all division. Based on state and county guidance, this cannot occur until Santa Clara County enters the Red Tier. CLL is working under the hope that this tier can be reached sometime in early Spring. Under this plan, CLL is targeting March 8th to open a new registration for the Spring 2021 season which will begin games sometime in April.

For those families who registered for the Spring 2020 season, and accepted a credit when it was cancelled, your credit will be applied to the Spring 2021 season once that registration opens.

The Winter Conditioning program has its own separate small registration fee of $20 for each participant.

The Winter Conditioning program is open to all families, regardless of whether they have played in CLL previously. If you know of any new families to our area, or any family interested in the program who were not registered in Spring 2020, please feel free to forward this announcement.

If there are any questions, please respond to this announcement and the league will respond as soon as we can.

We look forward to seeing you at the baseball field! Go Cupertino Little League!
